PRIVACY · PRIVATE BETA

Your family's information deserves care.

This preliminary notice explains the data used by the ASK ONCE marketing website and limited family beta. It will be expanded and reviewed before public launch.

What information we collect

Public website: An adult's email and interest category when joining early access. Contact submissions include an adult's name, email, inquiry topic and message.

Family beta: Parent login details, invited family relationships, child profile nicknames or names provided by a parent, chore assignments and deadlines, reminder preferences, chore statuses, reward balances and recorded payments, device notification subscriptions and related activity. Teen account invitations use an email address.

Local study timer: The optional teen focus timer stores its duration and progress in browser storage on that device. It does not upload timer progress, grades or school-account credentials. Not currently collected through the app: Bank account credentials or automatic payments. Photo-proof uploads, school-platform connections and native device restrictions are not active.

Why we use this information

To operate family workspaces, show assigned responsibilities to the correct people, deliver permitted reminders, track chore approvals and rewards, respond to support requests, and improve the limited beta.

One-time personal reminders store the reminder text, scheduled time, sender or owner, completion status and delivery status. Teen-created personal reminders are visible to that teen; reminders a parent sends to a child are visible to both sender and recipient. Speech-to-text input is processed by the browser or device where available; ASK ONCE does not intentionally store audio recordings. Device push subscriptions are used to route notifications to phones that opt in. Notification delivery and display can depend on device and platform settings.

Who can access family information?

Family workspaces use access controls intended to separate unrelated families. Invited adults manage the family; connected children see their assigned responsibilities and personal earnings. ASK ONCE uses third-party infrastructure for hosting, authentication and database services.

Access controls and security remain under testing. Do not enter highly sensitive child, financial or medical information into this beta.

Children and parental oversight

The marketing forms are for adults. Parents or guardians are responsible for approving participation in the private beta and inviting their children. Younger-child account pairing and additional parental-consent controls are not complete. We are not offering unrestricted public child registration.

Retention, deletion and choices

Beta records are retained while needed to operate and evaluate the pilot, subject to technical and operational requirements. A comprehensive self-service export/deletion workflow and final retention schedule have not yet been released.

You can request review, correction or removal of contact information and beta data through our Contact Us form. We will review requests and explain any limitations. You can also disable notification permissions on your device.

Important beta limitations

ASK ONCE is under active development. We will update this notice as optional encouragement, school integrations, photo verification, device controls or payment features become available. This notice is not a claim of completed children's privacy compliance or independent security certification.
