ABOUT ASK ONCE

Less nagging. More living.

ASK ONCE is being built around one simple idea: parents should not have to repeat the same request over and over, and teens deserve clear expectations and the freedom to follow through.

FAMILY LIFE IS BUSY ENOUGH

Make space for what matters.

Whether it's laundry, tomorrow's trash or a room that needs cleaning, ASK ONCE is about fewer repeated requests and more confidence in everyday routines.

THE PROBLEM

Chores shouldn't become arguments.

Repeated reminders can turn ordinary family responsibilities into a daily source of friction. Sticky notes, texts and chore charts still leave parents responsible for chasing the follow-through.

THE IDEA

Let the system do the reminding.

Parents assign a responsibility once. Teens see what's due, receive reminders, submit completed work and build independence. Parents stay in control of approvals and rewards.

Built for real family life

One-time chores, homework responsibilities, optional allowances, different reminder styles, co-parent access and a more engaging experience for teens all belong in the same system. The product is designed to reduce conflict, not to punish children.

We're currently running a small, private family beta. Some features work today; others — including photo proof, Apple Watch access and selective entertainment-app restrictions — require additional development and testing.

More than chores

ASK ONCE Study adds school tasks and optional teen-led focus sessions to the family beta. Saved support plans offer optional, reviewed encouragement shaped around a teen’s sports and interests. Points can build toward a gift, concert, trip or custom family reward.

Our approach to accountability

Clear expectations, age-appropriate reminders, parent oversight and the ability to make exceptions. Any future device controls should be transparent, parent-authorized, reversible and designed to preserve essential communication and safety.

Built from a real family need.

ASK ONCE began because a parent was tired of arguing with his kids and repeating the same reminders. The goal is fewer daily battles, clearer expectations and more independence—with room for encouragement and rewards that matter to each family.
