HOW IT WORKS

One clear request. Less follow-up.

Parents manage responsibilities. Kids get a friendly, focused experience. ASK ONCE keeps everyone on the same page.

Phone alerts. Visible countdowns.

For phone-carrying tweens and teens, reminders arrive on their own device, while the app shows what's due and how much time remains.

From assignment to approval

1

Set the responsibility

Choose a child, add a chore or homework task by typing or voice, set a due time, and optionally attach a dollar amount. Choose a reminder style.

2

Their phone reminds them

ASK ONCE schedules reminders around the deadline and shows time remaining in the teen app. Web push is in family testing and requires a supported device, installation and notification permission.

3

They tap Done

The teen submits the responsibility for review. The parent can see it in their dashboard and in-app activity inbox. Photo proof is a planned addition.

4

Parent approves

The chore is marked approved and any earned reward is credited to the child's tracked balance.

5

Track or record payment

Children can request payment. Parents can record money they have already sent outside the app. ASK ONCE does not transfer funds.

FOR PARENTS

One family dashboard

See responsibilities, approvals, balances and family activity. Invite a co-parent with a private link or QR code. Each adult signs in separately.

Need a quick reminder instead of a chore?

Parents can add one-time reminders for themselves or a connected teen. Teens can also set their own private reminders and positive notes. They choose a time, optionally dictate the message, and receive a phone alert when notifications are enabled. Personal reminders do not earn money or require parent approval.

Explore personalized reminders and future encouragement.

Schoolwork fits the same simple system

Choose a school task such as homework, reading or test preparation. Teens can use an optional 10-, 20- or 30-minute focus timer before marking their work done. Parent review works the same way as for chores.
